It’s been a long time coming. Any oldskool head will understand and appreciate the weight behind that statement. The electronic music scene in El Paso has been no stranger to shaky ground, often misunderstood by the “powers that be” and handled in an unfortunate and hostile manner, solving none of the supposed “problems” with our culture and creating more. Due to the uneducated “journalism” our oh-so-experienced local news media agencies were doing (and have always done) on our scene, the electronic music culture in the Sun City was nearly snuffed out.
