August 1, 2009 (Issue #1) – What do you spin? I don’t really like to categorize myself to one genre. I basically just look for music that has melody and a groove to it and that sounds good to the ear, but I would say that it would be Progressive Tech House.
How and why did you start spinning? To be honest, I personally did not really care for electronic music. It did not really catch my attention. I was still in high school and a friend introduced me to a CD with no name on it. I played it and fell in love with the sound that was coming out. Ever since then, I got interested in this music and researched it and started to buy records. I started spinning because I want to play great music like the DJs that I started to discover.
Where do you spin? I have spun in various places such as 104.3 Hit FM on Nocturnal Transmissions, D’ Club, Ricky’s Paintball, Vanilla Nightclub, house parties, and pretty much where ever Synthtek Collective puts me to play.
Are you under any labels? No, not yet. That would be really cool though.
Any companies? Synthtek Promotions
Do you spin vinyl or CD’s? I originally started to spin with vinyl and gradually changed it up to CDs.
What are your goals? My goals would be to start playing in different cities in the U.S. and in the long run, eventually going international. Also, I’d like to produce some tracks and hopefully they get signed to a top record label.

What has been your best and worst show and for what reason? My best show would be when I opened up the party for Danny Howells. That party had a really great vibe and great music. My worst show was when I spun at a friend’s house. I showed up and the sound was terrible! They only had one CDJ and expected me to provide a set with one CDJ. LOL
Favorite DJ/Producer? I have a lot. They have their own very unique way so that’s what makes them special. A few are Sasha, John Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Danny Howells, Dave Seaman, Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Deep Dish, Nick Warren, Lee Burridge, Sander Kleinenberg, Jim Rivers, Desyn Masiello…. So much more.
Best party ever attended and why (not counting events you have spun at)? There are several. Sander’s first appearance in Juarez, Anthony Pappa’s first, second, and third appearance in Juarez, Steve Lawler in Juarez, Desyn Masiello in Juarez, and finally Anthony Pappa first appearance here in El Paso at Ricky’s Paintball. He was phenomenal. He never upsets. Go Back…
