Paolo Mojo at The Vault

Paolo Mojo at The Vault

October 19, 2009 (Issue #2) – The Vault, El Paso’s newest downtown party spot, and Synthteck Promotions were honored to present U.K. tech-houser Paolo Mojo last August 28th. The DJ’s first time in El Paso was exciting with an AWESOME set and a great vibe.

The club, formerly known as The News underwent no big changes other than a different name and theme but continues to offer an excellent party atmosphere, great lighting and enough space to “get down!!” The place was not full to capacity but had just the right amount of people to make it a good event.
Mojo, himself, told me in a short (but fun!) interview that the fact that it was a small (more private) club made the party better…

Jess Rox!!: What’d you think about the party in E.P.?

Mojo: It was GREAT!!

Jess Rox!!: What type of set were you going for? What vibe were you aiming for?

Mojo: I played underground techy tribal house…and everyone went with it!!

Jess Rox!!: Are you on tour promoting any new material?

Mojo: It’s just a U.S. tour…going to L.A next. It’s just a good way to keep up with the fans and make new ones.

Jess Rox!!: Anything new that you’d like to share with the fans?

Mojo: Check out my website @ Paolomojo.com.

A pleasure to speak with and an even greater pleasure to listen to, Paolo Mojo rocked The Vault. Luckily, there’s a new spot for parties in El Paso. Thanks to Synthteck for another great act!!

The Facts: Mojo’s been DJing since 1991 and has received congrats from Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox and Lee Burridge over the years. He mixed Balance 009. Mojo describes his music as “sleazy house music” and is a fan of “edgy records…they make you push yourself and take risks with your music.” He doesn’t particularly like to hear other people’s sets because they make you change your perspective on your own music. Mojo currently resides in London. Go Back…
