October 19, 2009 (Issue #2) – 1. What do you spin?
I play House, Techno and everything in between.
2. How and why did you start spinning?
After going out to listen & dance to DJs for about 4 years, listening just wasn’t enough anymore… I needed to play music too! So I started buying records in 95, bought my turntables in 1996, and the rest is history!
3. Where do you spin?
These days primarily at bars/clubs and warehouse parties in Albuquerque & Santa Fe, although I’ve played in 20+ states, and in Mexico / Canada.
4. Are you under any labels?
I have some older tracks released on Fade & Stellar / the same ones licensed to Moonshine & Bedrock… but currently, I’m not under any labels.
5. Any companies?
No
6. Do you spin vinyl or CD’s?
I primarily play CD’s out, but still own thousands of records & play some of them every now & then.
7. What are your goals?
I’m guessing this means musically, and it would be as simple to keep asses shaking on dance floors, and keep exposing people to music they might not otherwise hear.
8. Do you have a website or Myspace?
myspace.com/inertsubjoin
myspace.com/bodylanguage505
9. What has been your best and worst show and for what reason?
Best would have to be a BSP show in El Paso in 2001, playing w/ Julius Papp… and anyone who was there, knows why it would be my best (or at the very least, favorite) show. Nothing in particular stands out as the “worst”, but there’s been plenty of shitty ones over the years.
10. Favorite DJ/Producer?
Impossible for me to choose, so I guess in that respect, I am my favorite DJ/Producer.
11. Best party ever attended and why (not counting events you have spun at)?
The Moontribe Tour in the summer of 1999 (thrown by Cosmic Kidz). Hands down the best, and it was simply amazing! The spot, the music, the stars in the night sky, the crowd… all were in sync, but it was listening to Petey from Moontribe, while sitting at the edge of a cliff, watching the rising sun’s reflection in a lake, which clinches it as the “best”.
Go Back…
