HB Electronics at ECB’s Launch Party

HB Electronics at ECB’s Launch Party

October 20, 2009 (Issue #2) – As a video artist working at various electronic dance music events across the country, I get to work with all kinds of audiovisual production companies. From the smallest one to two person crew, to the most well-known fully fledged Hollywood style production companies available. I’ve seen it all. I’ve worked with everything from low-budget lighting companies for underground warehouse raves to fully fledged professional audio-visual production powerhouses. I’ve experienced the gamut of lighting and staging companies across the United States. Many are very professional, others, not so much. When I was invited by ElectroCityBeatz Magazine to mix live visuals at their magazine release party I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the video presentation system I was going to be provided. As a VJ, I expect a certain level of quality in regards to the video system that I am plugging into. If the projectors and screens look bad, it makes me look bad. However, when I was told that I would be working directly with HB Electronics, I knew that I would be working with professionals who knew what they were doing. See, I had worked with HB electronics previously at a large-scale rave held at Cohen Stadium in El Paso a couple of years ago. They supplied nothing but the best video projection equipment I could have asked for. When I returned to the valley of the Sun for ECB’s release party, I knew that I wouldn’t be let down. HB Electronics delivered with flying colors. I know they’ve been El Paso’s leading provider of audiovisual equipment for years and that any party using their systems would be nothing less than superb.

Upon arriving at D-Club before the show, I was surprised to see that HB had provided 2 very large Da-Light Fast-Fold projection screens for me to project my video art onto throughout the night. These screens are nothing but the best. After seeing this, I was no longer worried that the presentation quality of my visuals accompanied by the DJ’s music would be anything less that optimal. The projectors that they provided were also of the highest quality. A couple of 2 thousand lumen DLP projectors is pretty much everything a modern VJ could ask for. HB provided nothing but the best top of the line equipment when it comes to audiovisual presentation systems…something that many crews in El Paso could take a lesson from.

Overall, I was extremely excited to travel from Phoenix, Arizona to mix visuals at the ECB Magazine launch party and even more thrilled to see that I was going to be mixing on a very high quality video projection system provided by the one and only HB Electronics. I now know that I can definitely count on them to provide nothing but industry standard quality presentation equipment when it comes to visuals in El Paso’s unique electronic dance music scene. Their system proved to be flawless in every way and enhanced the quality of the party in way that cannot be explained. Visuals have always been a huge part of any full-on production and HB definitely delivered.
