33 Lounge: The Westside’s latest hotspot

If you’re looking for a good spot on a Friday or Saturday night to enjoy some good food (sushi!!), drinks and more importantly, some good electronic music, 33 lounge is the place!

Located at 3009 Doniphan Drive, this place has got some beautiful decoration, a very laid-back feel and lighting and some good drink specials. It is exactly what the Westside of town needed. Although there are some spots for us EDM lovers downtown, the Westside of town was lacking a place like this. The concept began at the now defunct 33 Beats further down Doniphan but was moved a couple of months late to 33 Lounge where it has kept its name — 33 Beats — and theme. Only difference here is the venue.

We caught up with the man running the show, Jovi, also a local DJ. He explained that they are trying to “keep the Juarez 33 vibe alive in El Paso.” Friday nights they offer $1 tequila shots all night, as well as $1 wells until 11 p.m! My first experience was awesome! If any of you got to check out Carla’s (a.k.a. La Morra) birthday celebration on Saturday Feb 6th, that would’ve explained what the hype is about. They featured DJ Olmos and Juarez’ best female DJ, Barbi. The place was full and the music was EXCELLENT. Some good vibes altogether.

From what I hear, their menu is great featuring some specialty rolls and margaritas. The service is very good (reminds me of the Juarez 33) and the sound decent. We’re looking forward to some good parties on that beautiful patio. So, check it out!!
