Xeno9: Oct. 08. The name “Lunar Meltdown” was established some time before that and the idea had been in the air for about a year. Waiting for the right time and location was the determining factor for our initial Oct. event
ECB: How and why did you start promoting?
Xeno9: I have been promoting since high school, originally by organizing and setting up punk rock shows. Later, I got
into the electronic scene by helping other promoters pass out flyers, or I was assigned little things in order to help them and their events. I have always loved attending and helping out at music events. I love music and wish to continue spreading music.
ECB: Who’s on your team?
Xeno9: There are a few people on the team. All of the Dj’s along with two other members, Adan and Chris. We’re just a group of friends that felt it was time El Paso had events with a diverse range of genres. Everyone has been a vital part in the success of LM.
ECB: Do you have any Dj’s w/ your company? Who are they?
Xeno9, Psychosis, Sebastian Mar, Moi, and RadiODelay.
ECB: How many events have you organized already?
Xeno9: 4 Lunar Meltdown events. Not sure how many total if you count my past events prior to Lunar Meltdown.
ECB: What are your goals w/ this company?
Xeno9: Provide quality events with quality music of different genres. Making everyone happy is our main goal. The crowd is happy if the Dj is happy and vice versa. The Dj puts more effort in front of a responsive and mass crowd and thus has a better time. The crowd feeds off the vibes and music coming from the Dj and the energy from everyone around them. In the end if everyone walks away happy because they had a great time, we know we did our job right. We will keep looking for ways to make that experience even better for everyone.
